A group of our looked-after children were recently invited to the Cambian Head Offices to meet staff and find out more about what they do and how they operate.
The children, aged between seven and 17 years old, were accompanied by their Foster Parents and are all part of our North West forum group.
The day kicked off with introductions from our Finance, HR and Business Development teams with informal Q&A’s followed by a hearty Domino’s lunch.
The children then surprised Cambian COO, Anne Marie Carrie, by singing her happy birthday with cake and treats which was then topped off with a beautiful rendition of Oasis’ Talk Tonight by our youngest child in attendance.
The children were then provided with goody bags which included disposable cameras to capture the sights of their exciting London bus tour which followed.
The educational, guided bus tour of London included stops at Buckingham Palace, The House of Parliament, Tower of London and Leicester Square.
By the Bridge Managing Director, Lynn Webb, who was in attendance, said: “The children were super engaged and enthused all day, and enjoyed the London experience! The staff chatted with them all, and the children had the opportunity to ask the Directors many varied questions, some light hearted, some challenging and thought-provoking.
"Staff sent their praises, and were blown away by the day and the spirit of the children and young people.
"A huge thanks once again to all of the staff involved in the day and those who made it possible. Memories were made, myths busted, and we demonstrated that By the Bridge with Cambian are a team with spirit, drive and aspirations for all of our futures."
