Our South East fostering team recently hosted a Coffee Morning on 22 September to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, which took place at our South East / Central Services branch, was mainly attended by staff who enjoyed an array of yummy homemade cakes and bakes, including tasty sausage rolls, Chocolate and Peanut Butter cake [pictured], cheesecake and lots more…
Branch Coordinator, Hannah Clifton, who helped to organise the event, said: “It was a really enjoyable event, which even a few of our Foster Parents attended. Everyone was so pleased to be back in the office enjoying coffee, tea and cake and meeting all our new staff.
“For me, fundraising for this charity was particularly poignant since losing my partner to cancer in 2019. He loved cake, so he would’ve been very pleased with our efforts”
The team have so far raised an amazing £115 for Macmillian and are still awaiting further donations online.
Hannah said: “We are in the process of applying for match-funding through the Caretech Foundation’s match-funding scheme which will double our fundraising efforts.”
What an amazing team effort, keep up the good work guys!
