By the Bridge Foster Parent Tracy Burks has been sending positive messages of mental health by creating ‘Be Kind’ gifts to inspire people to be more positive and kind all whilst raising money for Samaritans.

Tracy, who has been a Foster Parent with By the Bridge Thames Valley since August 2019, and is also a mum of two, was saddened after hearing a recent news story and decided to create 'Be Kind' sticker decals and gifts to inspire others to spread positivity and be kind to one another.

Her new charitable venture donates all of it's profits to the Samaritans - a charity aimed at providing emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The #BeKind movement is a community-driven scheme that creates positive culture on a foundation of trust and the power of kindness.

Tracy added: "It has been an amazing response and people have been thanking me. I am not making any profit from these, just doing a kind and supportive gesture. I think everyone needs to be kinder in the whole world."

By the Bridge Regional Manager, Joan Myers said: “I think it’s great that Tracy is advocating for us all to be kinder to each other and to remind us all that a bit of kindness goes a long way. It doesn’t cost anything to be kind, but sometimes it can make a real difference.”
