By the Bridge with Cambian is proud to announce that we will be working with De Montfort University in the next academic year, to allow university students and children in care to swap experiences.
This opportunity forms a part of our Get-a-Lifestyle programme that aims to prepare our young people for independence. In October a group of young people will attend the university to listen to presentations from existing students on what being a student is like. They will then get the opportunity to learn presentation skills from the students. The young people will be invited back in February to present to the same group of students on what it is like being a looked-after child.
