While your ISW carries out the assessment, you will be invited to attend training, and pre-panel workshops that form part of it. During this time we will process a number of statutory and optional checks (including DBS - Disclosure & Barring Service - as well as personal and professional references.) These checks are necessary to ensure that vulnerable children are entrusted to the care of people who are safe and secure.
